Community Groups

At BCC, we believe that church should be a place where we don’t just attend, but we also belong. We believe that it’s good to work out our faith with other people and that every member of our church should take an active part in one of our community groups.

These are groups of around a dozen people who meet regularly. Everyone keeps in regular contact to develop friendships and take care of one another.

Community groups are led by men and women who encourage every person to take their unique place in the life of the Church. The groups discuss how to apply the Sunday teaching in practical ways through discussion and prayer, as well as spending time in worship and praise.

There are seven community groups which meet in different areas across Barnehurst, Bexleyheath, Belvedere, Albany Park and Welling. For some people, joining a community group is the best way to become part of church life. For others, attending Christianity Explored is the best first step.

How do I join a community group?

Community groups are open to anyone and you can start to attend a group either through the invitation of a group member or by speaking to one of the elders on a Sunday morning.
